Our mission is to foster a vibrant football community through the organization of top-tier events including futsal tournaments, 3v3 tournaments and 7v7 leagues, ensuring each event is a memorable experience that champions sportsmanship and competitive spirit.

We are committed to nurturing talent at all levels, offering ID clinics and private individual and group trainings designed to refine skills and elevate gameplay. Our college advisement service is tailored to guide aspiring athletes through the intricate process of college recruitment, ensuring they find their ideal match both academically and athletically.

Beyond the pitch, we embrace the cultural aspect of football by organizing European Soccer Tours, immersing participants in the rich heritage and contemporary scene of international football. Our social media platforms serve as a hub for the football community, providing updates, insights, and a space for engagement and growth.

Meet the Son of a Pitch Team

John Tardy

A distinguished figure in soccer, has excelled as both a player and coach. His impressive journey includes championships and accolades from high school to professional levels, and a significant coaching role at Cedar Stars Academy and at the College of Staten Island. His expertise and leadership are now steering the Son of a Pitch Football Company.

Alex Cuba

A dedicated and accomplished figure in football, began his journey on Staten Island, achieving early success with Silver Lake. His talents flourished through high school and college, leading to a distinguished coaching career, notably at Downtown United Soccer Club and the College of Staten Island. He now brings his years of experience back to island to lead Son of a Pitch Football Company to positively affect all those who share his affinity for the beautiful game.

Joe Bolella

A young and ambitious individual, is known for his creative mind and dual talents as both a player and an inspiring coach. His soccer origins are rooted deep in Staten Island Soccer, starting at Staten Island United, before playing for Cuba and Tardy at the College of Staten Island. He is now an invaluable asset to the Son of a Pitch football company, bringing his creativity and ambition to the team.

Wagner College

Wagner College Stadium is a 3,500-seat multi-purpose stadium located on the campus of Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. Opened in 1967, the stadium is the home Of their NCAA D1 women’s soccer program.

Fairview park

Bricktown Way &, Tyrellan Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309

Fairview Park is a recreational field and park located in Bricktown Mall on Staten Island's South Shore. The park features a synthetic turf field, a loop pedestrian path encircling the fields, recreational courts, parking, and landscaped lawn areas. The fields opened in 2021.

Owl Hollow Fields

1757 Arthur Kill Rd, Staten Island, NY, 10312

Owl Hollow is a 20 acre area adjacent to Arden Heights Woods. The playing fields at Owl Hollow include four synthetic turf soccer fields (two of which are lighted), a loop pedestrian path encircling the fields, parking, and landscaped lawn areas. The fields opened in April 2013.

Sportsplex at the Mount

6581 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10309

Sportsplex at the Mount is an indoor turf facility on the south shore of Staten Island. The building stands on the Mount Loretto church campus and was developed by Catholic Charities of Staten Island. The building features a turf field and viewing room.

CSI Athletic Complex

2800 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY, 10314

CSI Athletic Complex is comprised of two synthetic turf fields located on the Willowbrook campus at the College of Staten Island. Dolphins Soccer Park and the Multiuse turf field are home for numerous events hosted by S.O.A.P. F.C.
